ok so yesterday my temp guage stoped working
any idea how to make it work again? i dont even know ware it reads temp from lol
any help apreciated

its a x16xe engine and all heaters n stuff still working just no reading on the temp guage

You need a new temperature sender
HERE
I'm not 100% on the location for a 16xe but a20xe has it near the thermostat on the engine.

It's not that one Ste, that's the coolant temperature sensor but the ECU one, not the dash sensor.
The location is right though - its just to the left of the thermostat, behind the CTS - it has a spade connector on it and should be very simple to change.

Ahh yeah, sorry.
It is the one like this:
Get it from Halfrauds or a motor factor.
They are about a fiver.

if its 14xe 16xe ect then it from left near the the top of engine, (standing from front of bonnet.
looks like this
the thing you want is just below the blue plug thing

Ahhs found it. Cheers. The bit the plug spades on to has snaped off so will pick up a new one and let yas know how I get on thanks again derek

Should be on the left of the inlet as you look at it from above, If its got a big induction black thing you will have to remove that to be able to see it.
