following on from this thread
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=390087
i've decided that the above date is the best for me and also gives ppl enough time to book the time off with work/gf/wife/family etc
(alternatively you can all turn up on the 11th and watch me parade as part of the Rememberance service!!)
intention at this point is to meet and have a wonder round the museum/planes and have some CS banter over a pub lunch??
meeting here at 11:30 (north end of Hanger 1)
departing 1145(ish) to enjoy pub grub and CS banter!!
please show your interest here
1) Fonz
** i have a contact at the musuem who maybe able to sort out a discounted/group rate - i shall ask for confirmed names closer to the time!
Edit - to few interests to be worth ringing for a discount for a smaller group

YES!!
The 4th November is the regular once monthly EA meet.
the Duxford one is purely for my own selfish wishes of meeting those who are within my immediate area rather than the whole region. ie 25mile radius rather than a 40+ radius that a region covers (not sayin those that far away can't attend!!)

Deano give me some time!!!
i'm working on that.
the Duxford website says its £15 per person (Adult 19-59)
but with a group of 20( )it would be £13
not convince we'll get that many, and suspect it will have to be pre-booked
its only £9.50 for students so i plan to tried wangle £10-11 for a group of ~10ish around(ish) the student age!
What i've got in mind is:
it doesn't open until 10 and being a Sunday wouldn't plan to be there before 11. as JM_16v said theres somewhere to enjoy some grub and a drink close by so provisional plans at this time are to go there for lunch then those who want to go to the museum can do so afterward (at reduced cost if i can sort it out with some definate numbers)
hope that answers your questions!

quick update on the lunchtime entertainment
i went for a drive on Sun to Duxford and went in search for a "local" i went to the village first and found two nice local village pubs (The Plough Inn & The Wheatsheaf). The plough seemed much more appealing and had a large enug car park for a group of us.
i then went to "the World famous Comfort Cafe" as suggested by JM_16v. imo its a bit far out and looked like a smartened up Little Chef. i admit i didnt go in for a good look as it was fairly busy being a service station - which is something that is off putting to me given the higher prices found at service stations.
the Plough Inn doesnt open until 1200 on a Sunday - but would give everyone chance to have a decent lie in.
i would suggets meet around 1130 at Duxford museum, depart 1145-50 (after late comers have joined) make our way to the village, enjoy a coke/lemonade/orange with a plate of chips and a pie (for eg) and then those who wish to can return to the Museum and enjoy a couple of hours walking round.
does this sound suitable?
