Well been doing abit to him over the weekend and will continue tomorrow Heres what I got done
First off bag him up

Reason was he was showing a small sign off rust coming back from under the bonnet stay mount on the OSF shocker top mount, which was treated before the respray but as you all know if its under a bracket its hard to get at... So off it came bonnet lifters will be fitted instead!!! Drilled the bracket off and treated rust and etched then primed...

The NSF got same paint at the same time as the loom has been rubbing

Painted

While that was drying i set about stripping the engine

Fitting ARP Main Stud kit

Stripped Back

New gaskets to be fitted...
Bonded sump gasket
Oil pump to block
Front oil pump
Rear Main
Both cam seals
Gearbox drivershaft seals
Both gearbox sensors
Outside temp sensor
Outter CV boot
Rocker cover gasket
think thats about it...

For my reference really...
Bonded sump gasket part number

Sealer part number

Cleaning all threads out

Bottom end all back together

Onto the clutch and flywheel set up...
I did abit of weighing of SBS lightened pot style flywheel which was around 5-6kg and the TTV flywheel measured 4.5kg, so a slight difference. (Weights are rough...) Just a little bit of info for people...
Onto fitting the TTV flywheel with ARP flywheel bolts

6 Paddle...

Pressure plate require some of the bolt holes drilled out...

All built up...

Then on to fitting these... I went for polyrace which are 90% polyurethane (hard), after talks with rallydesign they said the average powerflex bush is 30% (which makes them alot softer)

One side done

The main reason was the lower arm powerflex bushes are ****ed already... way to much movement in them....
Cam seals all done and cambelt back on....

Then onto fitting a "later" inlet manifold, only a small difference but everything helps and it was dirt cheap from a friend.....
Early inlet manifold

Later inlet manifold

Side by side, early on left late on right

Engine with inlet off

Gearbox after a fresh coat of paint

Getting there

Gearbox all built up and ready to go back on engine

And its back in

Turbo back on

More soon
