when stood still the other week mine just went straight past the limiter, well it kinda hit the limiter then kept going, didnt sound too good

Yes - 12v limiter is not nice. And not possible in 5th.

limiter on my clio 16v was really quik and it was raised 500 rpm

after seeing those pics i dont think i want to hit the limiter ever again 
especially with mine being dodjy.
