finally de-wipered and removed the rear motor!

also gave her a much needed clean! - to find hidden under the dirt a small crack on the front bumper which has annoyed the hell out of me, will need to sand it down and repair it then send it off for a respray
hopefully have a RR print out sunday afternoon, would be nice to clear 230bhp with the psi im currently running!

RR went ok today, few pics and a couple of vids..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6f2BmB_gTk&feature=player_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ9yl4FFx7k&feature=player_embedded
graph..

made 220bhp, 230lbs torque, at 10 psi.. once and LSD is sorted in the future i can up the boost and hopefully clear 250 bhp, dont want no more than that on stock internals!
as you can see the graph has quite a smooth curve, running ok but there are a couple of small issues with fueling and accelerating.. if i put my foot down heavily it judders and is pretty useless, either an MAF problem or something to do with the amount of pipework from the fmic to the TB's there is. im happy though

interesting...
http://www.amdessex.com/technical.rollingroad.cfm
so.. 220.8bhp ; correcting factor: 0.920 = 240bhp
they could have explained on the day about that, if it wasn't for other lads of other forums i wouldnt have known lol

reflection shot, wish i had the DSLR at this point but hey ho, pants phone camera lol

a few non edited dslr pics, im a total noob with photography but a couple came out ok i thought

the old corsa 'hide n' seek' advert sprung to mind with this one.. lol

numberplate spoilt a few but i didn't fancy taking them off and receiving another fine lol
new rubber for the fronts at the end of the month finally, and the camber and tracking set up

changed the plugs over yesterday, had a mis-fire problem, will see what these ones are like at the weekend when i take it out for a drive

also had new guages fitted, boost and oil pressure..

bit bulky and obstructs the view a little, so may end up moving these into the vents at some point in the summer or when i have some time
gave warren's astra a detail yesterday too..
swirls/imperfections

clayed.. after washing it twice/rinsed

same area as the first picture after going over with a medium compound, glaze and pre wax

couple of reflection shots, poor camera quality but meh

pay day this friday, more goodies for the c most likely

Plans for the near future;
tyres for the fronts, geometric set up (this weekend hopefully)
refurb the BBS split rims after i've finished a few sets for my customers, wack some sensible rubber on them for the summer
Quaiffe LSD hopefully sometime in the year
need the front end resprayed really, so may opt for a full colour code at the same time. power wise it will stay as it is untill the limmited slip is sorted

also fitted a smooth petrol cap today and i filled her up! first time in weeeeks lol
few scratches..

so out came the compound and polish/wax!

might go for a smooth boot next!
STILL dont have new tyres, first time i drove it was today, found a great site to buy tyres though and i know somewhere where i can have them fitted

only a couple of small updates..
had an Opel steering wheel badge sitting around for about 12 months lol! thought i'd might aswell fit it
before;

disconnected the battery just incase the airbag wanted to knock me out which obviously resetted everything, so took her for a little drive, the emissions light has gone back off lol
after;

better pic of the guages i had on my phone

OMP rear strut brace resprayed, was orriginally red.. fading into pink! so i fully stripped it back to bare metal which was long! as it was powder coated, sprayed it up gloss white as i had white sri's and a white centre consol, but now everything else is anthracite this needed cleaning up!
Silver basecoat with a graphite over the top

not the best pics but you get the idea found the two bolts needed for the rear struts so will fit that at some point in the week, if not then weekend

Busy day today! had the day off work, so took a trip over to Elite-Direct in Essex to have the following done;
two new front tyres (hankook) after a few reviews these seemed pretty decent! was a toss between these and Eagle F-1s
all wheels balanced, rear tyres checked for any wall damage etc
fast road set up; tracking/laser alignment
front camber aligned
http://www.elitedirect.com - awsome lads that work there, the only place i go for this sort of work!
wanted to nick this table in there

before;

after;

Then poped down to warrens to fit a 13row Mocal oil cooler with built in themostat

notice my new flocked rocker cover behind that too?
plate that sits behind the oil filter;

was a bit of a b!tch getting the plate on, warren managed to after a few attempts though. really tight where my rad sits out further than every other 1.8 rad :shrug: and my pipework from fmic to air filter was also in the way!

best place to mount it for my car

oil cooler mounted, cut a few brackets and secured it in place. again, bit of a ball ache, ended up with nice 10 40 oil all over me lol

trial run.. leaked oil
silly bolts that came with the kit needed to be tightened, so off it came again, tightened up, oil checked over, cleaned up etc. big thanks to warren g for all his knowledge
may wind the boost up soon, nothing ott, another psi or two.

ok.. the shlag should be going into the body shop next week, just in time before TFS
front bumper repaired and resprayed
smooth boot + popper
also had these to come home to this afternoon

boxes ftw
larger box was just some cleaning gear - chemical guys citruswash+gloss, nattys paste wax, some applicators, empty bottles & nozzles etc
other two were bonnet lifters and a nice clean oil cap which will be having the OPC transformation

i only cut myself once, which is good for me

such an awesome little mod imo
