My mate has read that there is a Corsa 1.6Turbo coming out and he is considering etting one. Does anyone know when the launch date is.

Also spec and pics would be much appreciated

it's going to have 182ps, 0-60 in 6.5s, 140mph, 1/4 mile in 14.5s will have decent handling for a change and be priced under 15k. will have leather seats, 16 inch alloys, twin exhaust system 300mm brembo F-discs, sat nav, mp3 player. only be avaliable in blue, black, yellow, and red group 13 insurance and will be released summer 2006

Sounds pretty half decent, well if you can justify spending that sort of cash on a corsa. Think if i was him i would wait till someone is selling 2nd hand one. thanks

Never mention the words new and corsa turbo together... it will never happen!! (That said they are bringing out a Meriva VXR )

corsa c one will never happen, meant to be the corsa c gsi or opc, corsa d vxr is meant to be happening though.

Even now that they've axed the SRi?

Could be because they are going to do a GSi, or perhaps because they've just run out of SRi body parts and don't want to order more since the C is being discontinued

a turbo corsa is going to have to happen, and it is penciled in for the Corsa D design, with companies like ford, VW, Renault all realising very quick cars in the coming year, vauxhall will have to do something.

Yep, for the 2006 Corsa the SRi has disappeared from the range. I was in the Vaux garage today and there's SXi and SXi+ now (basically the same but with half-leather seats and rear tints). 1.8 is in the SXi+. I reckon it's just because they've run out of SRi parts, but you never know - they could be planning something special to use up any SRi parts they have left lying around...
