fitted an x16xe, engine runs, but wont go over 4k revs, and when idling, it revs little bits on it own accord. also have to keep the key turned for a few seconds before it starts

tried getting diagnostics test, but it just keep coming up saying "no connection"... everything from the 1.6 has been fitted

iv been given a few ideas as to why it may be doing this and just want some other opinions

any ideas?! thanks

is the ecu from a late model 1999/2000 corsa sport? if so they have a 4000 rev limit when theres an engine management fault.

hooked up the em light?

the ecu (so i was told) is from the 1600 engine (95 m)

the engine management light stays on all the time... i forgot to add that

aye, i wasnt sure, but my mate says it was connected to the ecu


for th 4k rev problem, iv had 2 people say it might just be the camshaft sensor...?

i had this problem about 3 weeks ago.. nothing major, ecu is in limp mode...
the same as a windows safe mode if you like

my was crank angle sensor.. do paperclip test..

paperclip test being that shitty beep test? if so, it came with egr and immbiliser.

how much was the crank angle sensor, and where from (cheapest)?
