depends what you use - I am considering doing ours at some point this year and been told to use Bitumen based as it lasts
The water based ones look crap

Never knew this was a thing but from the Google images, it seems like a decent idea. Of course, if you do any colour other than black for your driveway, you are a complete cretin.

Still looks ok a year on but could do with another coat either before or after this winter.
I wouldn't mind doing once a year as it is quick with a sweep brush and not a huge area.
